Measuring and tracking data
& trends for schools around the world.
THE ENROLMENT SNAPSHOT | 2022
The Enrolment Snapshot is a tool that helps school leaders and their teams understand how their enrolment compares to wider regional and global trends.
With so many surveys taking up so much time to complete, we have designed this tool to be as simple as possible. In fact, we are only looking for one data point - the opening enrolment number. We believe that this one metric is key when it comes to understanding how well we are doing compared to other schools around the world.
How do we define “opening enrolment”?
It can be frustrating to find that one school counts opening enrolment differently to the next. This can lead to unreliable data that doesn’t reflect the reality of what is actually happening. We have therefore defined opening enrolment as the actual number of students attending school on 15 September. In other words, it isn’t the number of students attending plus students who are going to join later in the year. Neither is it the number of students you wish you had!
So what data will I be asked to provide?
To participate in The Enrolment Snapshot 2022, you are required to submit contact details, the name of your school, and the Opening Enrolment for 2022.
There will also be the option to add the Opening Enrolment for both 2021 and 2020, if you have these details to hand. Adding this additional information will allow us to analyse trends. We will also ask your permission to publish this information for others to see.
How will we share the data?
The Enrolment Snapshot 2022 will close on 21 October, 2022 and we will publish a Report for all participating schools in early November.
The Report will:
list all schools and the data that they have provided
Draw some summary conclusions and trend analysis, as far as this information is available.
The Report will remain a resource that will be updated annually.
Note that schools that do not participate will only be able to access general information and trends.
